Michael Rogan
Teacher & Tutor

Michael's journey with natural health started at the young age of 7 when he developed a serious joint problem. He underwent several operations, stayed in hospital for months at a time and was forced to use a wheelchair afterwards. Like many that are later drawn to alternative health fields, Michael was not satisfied with the treatment that he received. As a result, he has always been curious about health and nutrition. Initially, he wanted to become a doctor but was put off by the medical system. After an short career in engineering, Michael later returned full circle to working in health, being most attracted to the naturopathic approach and philosophy.

Alongside his work at the School of Health, Michael runs Reclaim Your Health, a naturopathic practice in Tavistock, Devon and online, focussed around nutritional therapy and the Bowen technique. Michael also runs GoldenAgeRemedies.com, offering a wide range of unique natural remedies to customers across the world.

Michael has always had a passion for teaching and mentoring. He loves supporting students at the School to develop their knowledge, make connections between everything they are learning and grow into successful practitioners who are able to help others.

Michael's career begun in chemical engineering, where he worked in London and China designing and commissioning downstream Oil & Gas facilities. He soon entered the world of natural health, starting his own small company developing unique natural remedies and devices to protect against EMFs and harmful frequencies. Michael wanted to work more directly with his customers' health challenges, so decided to train in nutrition and naturopathy, later adding the Bowen technique.  

Michael grew up in London and spent a lot of time in other parts of the world during his youth, especially Asia. While he had never planned to settle in the UK, he is now living happily in Devon with his wife and young family, enjoying the green scenery and fresh air. Outside of his work, Michael is constantly battling an ever growing pile of books to be read, mostly related to health in some way. He enjoys practising Tai Chi, playing tennis, and met his wife while dancing and performing salsa and bachata.
