Choosing a course is about much more than what you'll learn. It's about where your qualification can take you. When you invest your time, energy and passion into studying natural health, you want to know that you're following a recognised accredited pathway into professional practice. That's why we work closely with professional organisations, accrediting bodies and registers to ensure our courses meet high educational standards and provide clear routes into the profession. For many of our graduates, this means they can apply to join one or more professional registers as soon as they qualify.

More than a qualification

A qualification gives you the knowledge and practical skills to begin your career. Professional registration helps you become part of the profession itself. Depending on your chosen discipline, joining a professional register can provide a wide range of benefits, including:

Professional Pathways

Each natural health profession has its own professional organisations and registration requirements. We've designed our programmes to support those pathways wherever possible.

Homeopathy

Our sister institute, The School of Homeopathy, has spent more than forty years building one of the strongest accreditation portfolios in the profession. It is the only homeopathy school in the world with accreditation and professional recognition spanning the UK, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

Graduates have pathways to register with organisations including:

• Institute of Homeopathy Accreditation (IHA)
• Society of Homeopaths (UK)
• Accreditation Commission for Homeopathic Education in North America (ACHENA)
• Australian Register of Homeopaths (AROH)
• New Zealand Council of Homeopaths (NZCH)
• Council for Homeopathic Certification (North America)
• North American Homeopathic Examiners (NAHE)
• Homeopathy Practitioner Licensing Exam (HPLEX)
• North American Society of Homeopaths (NASH)

Along with additional international registration opportunities where appropriate.

Nutrition

Accredited by Federation of Nutritional Therapy Practitioners (FNTP) and the Society of Naturopaths (associate member). Graduates may also have pathways into organisations such as the Naturopathic Nutrition Association (NNA), General Naturopathic Council (GNC), Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) and Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT), depending on the programme completed and any additional requirements.

Naturopathy

Our Nutrition programmes are accredited by the Federation of Nutritional Therapy Practitioners (FNTP) and recognised by the Society of Naturopaths, providing graduates with clear pathways into professional registration depending on the programme completed.

Herbal Medicine

Accredited by the Complementary Medical Association (CMA).

Yoga Philosophy

Accredited by the Complementary Medical Association (CMA).

Medical Sciences

Anatomy & Physiology and Pathology & Disease are accredited by the Complementary Medical Association (CMA).

Recognition around the world

Natural healthcare is developing at different rates around the world. Some countries have well-established professional registers and recognised accreditation systems. Others have few professional organisations or no formal registration at all. If you're studying with us from outside the UK, this shouldn't put you off. Many of the professional organisations we work with welcome international graduates, allowing you to join a respected UK professional register even if your own country does not yet have one.

For many practitioners, this provides an excellent foundation for professional practice. Holding a recognised UK qualification together with membership of a respected UK professional body demonstrates your commitment to high educational standards, professional ethics and ongoing development. Around the world, UK education continues to be held in high regard, giving many graduates additional credibility as they establish their practice.
