David Cash
Tutor
David’s interest in complementary therapy and medicine started over 10 years ago when he visited a Homeopath for the first time. An open sceptic at the time, he was amazed with the results and was immediately converted as a patient. Being a qualified and registered nurse for over 25 years he decided to undertake his practitioner training with the School of Homeopathy to become a fully registered homeopath. With a keen interest pathology and disease and how these affect the health and wellbeing of an individual, David brings this passion and interest in the subject to his tutoring on Anatomy and Physiology, as well as the Pathology and Disease Diploma course.
David currently works within the NHS on a full time basis within the field of child and adult safeguarding, where he leads a large service of specialists in the field of abuse prevention and investigation. He runs a part time Homeopathic clinic on the South East Coast of the UK and regularly writes for trade magazines and International Therapist, the seasonal magazine for the Federation of Holistic Therapists with whom he holds membership registration.
David says that the best part of being a tutor for the school is sharing the journey with the student and seeing how they develop as the units progress. He believes that it's also great to have a cohort of students on a global basis and from a wide variety of professional backgrounds, which all enriches the learning and assignment completed. Supporting someone through from beginning to end is a great reward when you can write the words, ‘Congratulations, you’ve now completed the course!’
David completed his Homeopathy Practitioner Diploma in 2016 - one of his main achievements in his 40s! He is passionate about the NHS and although his work relating to all sorts of abuse towards children and adults can be overwhelming, he finds his homeopathic clinic as his escape into the wonderful healing arts of Complementary Therapies. He is a qualified meditation teacher, which helps him to relax after a hard day at the office and he enjoys writing articles for trade magazines. He is currently working on his first publication in his own right.
Born and bred in East Anglia, David moved to the south east in the late 80s to undertake his nurse training, qualifying in the early 1990s. He then moved to the south east coast where he still lives with his partner and two adopted rescue dogs. When not working for the NHS or running his busy Homeopathic clinic, David can be found with his head in a book (an avid reader), making homebrew ale (sometimes a disaster!) or spending time in the country camping or travelling to France to visit his family. Alternatively, he can be found trying to get one of the dogs to jump through hoops, jumps or tunnels on a dog agility course.
