Coming from a large family, with a strong teaching, medical and caring heritgage, Carmel’s introduction to homeopathy came via an acute illness. The impact of the remedy was quick and effective and it triggered a huge curiosity and an on-going deep healing journey towards Aphorism 9! Fast forward and after 25 years of practice her optimism has never faded, and this tried and tested healing modality continues to thrive and intrigue around the world.

Carmel undertakes acute prescribing and re-visiting and discovering small remedies for specific pathological conditions for fellow travellers, family and friends and the occasional wild life that seem to find their way to her! She feels she has come full circle, from first aid and home prescribing, then onto constitutional and chronic anti-miasmatic work with families and now in semi-retirement, back to acute and therapeutic interventions. She is still wowed by the power of homeopathy.

Carmel strongly believes that we learn by building on the familiar, bringing our past experiences with us. It's a delightful evolution of growth and discovery and empowerment.  She loves thinking about and constructing replies to questions, finding examples and sharing cases to help students deepen their grasp and appreciation of the beauty of homeopathy...the science and the art.

Carmel is a graduate of the School and the Dynamis School for Advanced Homeopathic Studies. She has enjoyed practising homeopathy since 1992 and has developed her supervision skills through years of person-centred teaching, CPD and personal supervision.  Having had the pleasure of being a clinical tutor and lecturer in homeopathic philosophy, she feels that the magical insights from undertaking and supervising provings have been a highlight for her for sure!

Carmel is now semi-retired, so is able to travel for most of the year and have the time to continue learning and researching. She finds that the Internet and her extensive digital library are useful tools. Carmel says, “I'll never be short of reading material and swimming, jogging, yoga and laughter keep me grounded!”
