Student Testimonials

Thank you for giving me a life-changing, beautiful experience. As I talk to more and more people (graduates and current students of other colleges) I realise what a wonderful experience the School was. I talk to so many who are angry and dissatisfied with their colleges. And I tell them how much I loved mine! I tell them how it was more than a college, how it changed and nurtured me in ways that are sometimes difficult to describe. Not only did I receive the best homeopathic education, one that is actually world renowned, but I received something that changed my life in the best way possible. One of the best things was how you gently fostered a group spirit among us, even when some of us (like me) resisted that approach. I remember in the early years saying to someone, "I'm only here to learn homeopathy!" Boy, was I wrong! I was here to learn much more about life and love. Well, you know! Sue, Graduate

I write to do nothing but praise the School, the support from the staff has been more than amazing and I have been humbled by it. Receiving the course pack got me even more excited about starting and the layout of everything within it was simple to follow and read. I have never been so determined to do something and the support of the School, especially Amanda, has been exceptional.

You should all be extremely proud of the learning platform you've created. I'm currently on a break from a distance learning MA at a highly-ranked UK university and what you offer is streets ahead of what I have been used to for the past 3 years! It has given me a great thirst for more knowledge and motivation to apply it in the assignments. From my experience the most important thing a distance learning program should do is make students feel part of the school even though they are miles away. You have managed this and I really do appreciate it.

From the moment I enrolled on the course I never looked back. I have never been so sure about anything in my life. The course is fabulous, I am thoroughly enjoying myself. It is certainly intensive and very challenging, but also very rewarding from both an intellectual and a personal standpoint. I feel that I am on a wondrous journey of discovery which is affecting me in ways that I would never have thought possible. It is changing the way that I think and feel about the world around me and how I react towards my loved ones. I believe that I am becoming a better person through this. Not only am I learning to becoming a homeopath but also learning lots about life, about patience and understanding, about the whole of humanity.

My journey began when I found homeopathy through the poor state of health of my daughter who was unable to shake off the simplest cold without having serious complications. This culminated in her being airlifted off the island in a helicopter at just four years old with a very serious case of pneumonia (in the middle of August and a heat wave here) to spend the next 15 days on an intravenous drip of antibiotics and an oxygen mask.

My mother mentioned to me that she had recently met an English homeopath in Crete at a social event, so I called on the chance that she might be able help us. Well, what can I say - she has been our saviour! Since starting constitutional treatment my daughter has not taken so much as an aspirin in the last three and a half years and she can only be described as being positively bursting with health these days. I was so impressed that all the family proceeded to have (successful) treatment. I became fascinated with how this amazing change had come about in our health, so started to read (and read and read) about homeopathy.

I realized that what I really wanted to do was to study and become a practitioner, that this was what had been missing for so long in my life, but how? It seemed to be a Herculean task to achieve when one lives in the middle of the Aegean Sea! I started to trawl the internet for whatever was available and wrote to nearly every homeopathic school in the UK and in Greece to try to find a way. When I found the excellent website of the School, I was thrilled. I knew I had finally found what I was looking for. I am positively storming the course. I find myself so motivated that I work many hours a day on my studies. I have to say that it can be very lonely, as I don't really have anyone to chat to about homeopathy. I really look forward to the chat room sessions as they are great chance to get a bit of contact. I went to the UK summer school this June, which was a wonderful experience. Misha is such a special person and it was a pleasure and an honour to be able to spend this time with him. I will be attending the International Summer School next May and can hardly wait!

By the way, I so love your course! The audio lectures are wonderful and the lesson plans are challenging to this 58-year-old mind. There are so many beautiful and interesting things to learn about life. Paulette, Student

I really enjoy this school with all the opportunities you offer. I like the whole system and that I can learn everything from distance. Thank you for you and the whole staff for making and leading such a wonderful college.

This is actually one of the most exciting and fulfilling moments of my life so far, I got my letter and diploma in the mail….total excitement!!!!  Yes, it has been a journey to get to this point but you know I wouldn’t have changed one single bit of it, not one ounce, such an incredibly deep and transformative process that has positively changed me forever. Thank you for striving to provide such a streamlined, high-quality and heartfelt learning experience, it stands out above and beyond. I actually feel lucky and proud to have studied at the School of Health. I also thank you for everything you have done and are doing to bolster the wider homeopathic community with such positive and supportive tools so that we can respond constructively and positively to the mainstream or to those who wish to be informed or learn more about homeopathy. Thank you! Tony, Graduate

I have thought about the School a lot. Many times, I have closed my eyes and felt very grateful for the spacious minded and spiritual nurture and encouragement that I experienced! When I first went to the Mumbai seminar in 2000, although I very much felt like a novice when it came to experience, I was also aware that these 'ground breaking' ideas Sankaran was expounding were very new to most, yet had been given to us and nurtured in our training. My interest in alternative healing had been kindled in my teens but really caught fire after the first Buddhist retreat I did. I remember leaving Dharamsala with the need to find some 'shop front' that I could use, that people would feel comfortable to walk through and I might be able to help people with.

As I tend not to believe in coincidences, this motivation ultimately lead to your shop front, your particular embrace of homoeopathy and the spirit behind your teachings. I later met students from many different colleges and realised how unique the School's style is and how grateful I am that I developed my own style under its influence. Every patient gives me an insight into humanity, into suffering, into our commonality as humans and into my own nature, prejudices, sensitivities and blind spots. This makes it a very alive and dynamic practice, I must say!

When I first started practicing, my wish was to be able to help at least one person with their 'health'; now I have been able to help many, many people, continually strengthening my weak spots and acknowledging my strengths and generally not beating myself up so much for not being perfect. Thank you, Misha, and all, for all the inspiration and pointers on this most incredible trek!

When I started out with my diploma in hand, I was unsure that I could put what I had learnt into practice. I so much wanted to be the best practitioner! But I soon found that what I had been taught at the School of Homeopathy held me steady and guided me. I realised that the education and the spirit which informed it was special. I had received a vision of what healing could achieve at the highest level and I was, and am, passing this on, helping people live at their full potential. This healing is more than just treating symptoms, it is inspirational and it has become an everyday part of my life. Bill, Graduate

I'd never heard of homeopathy before I came across it on the internet while I was looking for inspiration for a career change. I googled a few words like 'alternative medicine' and 'therapy' and 'holistic' and found homeopathy. I read up on it and it seemed like the perfect area to go in to and so I went in! I signed up for the correspondence course and took my life solidly in the direction it had naturally been heading in for years. I initially trained in TV, Radio & Film after leaving school in my native Dublin but after taking a break for a few years, where I worked in a variety of jobs, I decided that the TV, radio and film world wasn't for me. I ran into a friend who was studying to become a yoga teacher and I suddenly realised that I could go into that world. Previously, it had seemed closed to me like an esoteric kind of thing; stupid, I know.

I spent three years studying the first year of the course which was ideal as I could fit it in with my life and full time work. I joined the attendance course in 2003. The difference between the two is that the correspondence course fitted in with my life, whereas my life has fitted in with the attendance course. While on the correspondence course, I went from bartender to office worker, trained in karate and tai chi, took up yoga, moved in with my now fiance, did a computer course and moved to London.

I learned a lot about myself due to it being up to me whether I study or not that day. The key thing about the correspondence course for me was that there were no deadlines for homework, so I had the time to explore the intriguing questions that inevitably come up when learning an art such as this. These included questions from my friends and others about homeopathy that I wanted to answer. I was glad to have been given the time allowed by the correspondence course so that I could have a life while I learned about homeopathy, so that I could explore the subject and the remedies while also doing homework and so that I could begin to fit it in and know whether I wanted to sacrifice more for it by going to the attendance course.

I think the school is great for personal development in that a lot of the homework and classes are challenging to your thoughts and philosophies as well as to your personal strength and self-confidence. Students are encouraged to develop self-confidence in problem solving and decision-making so that when they are on their own they are comfortable and confident about finding things out, solving problems and looking for peer support where necessary.

I’m enjoying the Taster Course enormously. The materials are superb and the content is exciting. My experience has been so overwhelmingly positive that I would very much like to continue on with the Foundation Course. John, Student

I am really excited about finally being able to study Homeopathy and I absolutely love your thorough high-level professional course. I love everything about it - firstly the flexibility of study years, which for my lifestyle is essential, but then the top quality recommended books, the clear, concise study manual and the outstanding audio lectures are so appreciated. I am so impressed by the way you have perfected your correspondence course. I have taken various correspondence courses and not one has ever matched your quality, I really thank you for the service you are providing to humanity through this course. I love my studies, I wish I could dedicate my time to them full-time. However, that is not possible right now. I am not sure at what speed I will be able to work through the course, it all depends on so many factors. There are times we are busier than others, and I am a perfectionist by nature, so I really would rather go a little slower but acquire a thorough knowledge.

What I found most difficult with the course initially was setting up a system for studying each remedy. There is such a wealth of information in all the superlative books, I was overwhelmed and incredibly impressed by all the work each author had done in the field in order to accumulate so much knowledge. However, each remedy became easier as I decided upon the categories I would focus on. No doubt I will be modifying and perfecting my system throughout the course, so the first remedies took real long, but by the fourth and fifth ones I speeded up considerably. I loved the philosophy part of homeopathy, I find it really fascinating and quite awe-inspiring. The more I study homeopathy, the more I love it. I feel real passionate about it really and am enthused to help many people with it in the future.

I would highly recommend your course to anyone interested in Homeopathy. It is outstanding in every way, so really thank you Amanda and all the great work you guys are doing through your school in England. You can know that it's so appreciated from this end and I'm sure by so many others. There is nothing to beat high quality training and yours is of the highest.

I treasure the course and plan to finish. I think it has given me a very strong foundation and knowledge of remedies and philosophy in conjunction with other courses I have taken. Antonio, Student

I am lucky that my home is in the city of Chiang Mai in the North of Thailand. It is a very special place. Here you get to meet and know a lot of eccentric people. Otherwise I would not have heard of homeopathy because it is very new in Thailand. In fact, there are so few homeopaths in Thailand that I have to see a homeopath in Hong Kong, where I was born, and some friends I have convinced of its power to get treatment when they visit the USA.

I discovered homeopathy after a recommendation from my dog trainer and became so fascinated I decided to find out more. Now I am really hoping that one day I can practice because it's such an amazing healing art that surely everyone would be benefited. The course is ideal for me as I can fit it in with the other things in my life. As well as my studies I am juggling running a business, which designs and produces wearable art using antique fabric and accessories, and a full-time job as a mum to two lovely Yorkies.

I began my career in hotel management, working in Hong Kong, Thailand and Cambodia. I also studied in the UK at the University of Bath, where I finished my MBA. Later I moved into marketing and then into the kitchen supply business, eventually getting the job of Chief Executive Officer of the biggest industrial kitchen supply, design and manufacturing group in Asia.  I stayed for three years until my boss, who was also from Hong Kong, was killed in a car accident at the age of 48. That was a wake-up call for me because at that time I was flying around a lot. I decided to quit my high-profile job and move to Chiang Mai to try out a new business idea. I haven't looked back since.

I enjoy my studies and really appreciate all the help from The School of Homeopathy. Without a peer group, it takes a lot of discipline to sit down and get on with the study. When I was searching around I compared the curriculum in great detail with other schools and found that The School of Homeopathy provided the most comprehensive one. It was the right choice for me. The response is very quick to any questions. Even though I'm half a world away I know that should I need any support I'll get it for sure and timely. Most importantly for me is that the School is teaching classical homeopathy. In my opinion, any other way of 'practising' homeopathy is a deviation from the Organon.

I have done a couple of online courses in the past, and am finding the layout, support and instructions of how The School of Homeopathy has structured the teachings the best by far! I am really enjoying it. Looking forward to getting stuck into Unit 1 and about to get in touch with my tutor to introduce myself. Phoebe, Student

I am working my way through the assignments for Unit 1 and reading, taking notes and producing work is proving an absolute joy. It is a stroke of genius that we can express ourselves in different formats, rather than write essay upon essay upon essay, and I really appreciate that. The online tools offer a welcome respite from all the reading too. It is wonderful to be able to sit back and listen to a lecture and feel almost like I'm in the room. As someone who has studied online for over 3 years, it is really a treat to feel like a 'legitimate' student because of this.

I had an overwhelming feeling that I had found the perfect fit as far as Homeopathy Schools. I learned about what it really means to be a homeopath and how important is my own state of mind and spirit as a prescriber. These are things you cannot learn from books or assignments. Overall, the whole experience was very enlightening and inspiring.

I just want to say a quick thank you for all the hard work you're doing for the reputation of The School of Homeopathy as being the best course available internationally. When I've talked to homeopaths they've tended to nod sagely when I tell them which course I'm on, which shows how good a reputation it has in the homeopathic community. Your advertising, PR and branding seems spot on to me. It feels to me that the School is moving on a trajectory of strength and stability, which is a great thing for the School and for me also as a student so thank you for your part in that. Good schooling should give the student a knowledge base, founded on others' wisdom and experience. Another objective, which might appear contradictory, is developing the confidence to venture alone and develop one's own ideas.

The School of Homeopathy, very skillfully, manages to achieve both these targets. This is a difficult challenge: none of the (quite a few) institutions for higher education in which I've studied managed to rise to it.

There are a few factors that make the School of Homeopathy such a success. The solid basis of homeopathic philosophy enables the student to always know where his feet are. The wide range of teachers gives a wide range of styles and wisdom and, most important, the School has so much confidence in the ability of the student to succeed that, as a student, you are inevitably empowered by this autonomy.

What I also like is the spiritual aspect of the school. Homeopathy can be practiced in many forms and there are ways to make it easy and practical. But practical solutions will be limited to treating practical problems. With the kind of learning we got here homeopathy can be a real transformative power in patients' lives. It's been a wonderful four years - I couldn't hope for a better School to learn homeopathy in.

I was between herbalism and homeopathy and choosing this is like reclaiming my path. Being at the School is like putting on clothes that have already been made for me. Joceleyn, Student

Firstly, what can I say. It was and is so nice to know that a tutor has taken the time to read the assignments properly and offer what I have seen as the best feedback I have ever received regarding constructive and empowering information. I knew the school was for me when I have spoken to homeopaths who studied at your school but this has now been proven so thank you.

Interestingly, the unit I have just completed was a brilliant and enjoyable unit of learning and consolidation of studies. I am a member of a very active tutorial group locally where two other students from my previous college attend as well as 4 qualified homeopaths (one from the School of Homeopathy) and this has enhanced my understanding and learning of homeopathy more as we discuss real cases, real people in a real-life situation. You have definitely given me the confidence and motivation to continue along the path I am taking and with your guidance I am excited about what the future of homeopathy holds for me. Sorry this sounds like an Oscar acceptance speech but I feel like I have won a golden globe by enrolling with the School of Homeopathy to complete my journey!

Studying homeopathy is like stepping into another world. You leave the mad pace of life behind and enter a welcome haven of tranquillity. Here the tutors are there to support you on your journey with such faith in you that you cannot fail to achieve your potential. Barbara, Graduate

I came to homoeopathy after a friend suggested I seek alternative assistance for our son, James, who was stricken with an autistic-like disability as a result of vaccinational encephalitis. Through that first seminar I knew instinctually that homoeopathy would be the path through which we would find the help which we so desperately sought. After the MMR vaccine our James went from a totally normal 18-month-old to complete deafness in both ears (as evaluated medically by a brain stem test), banging his head on his crib, and a nearly complete stoppage of all cognitive/language development. Through homoeopathic treatment Jamie's hearing has been completely restored, language has increased and he has been able to function in his world without the use of any allopathic medications. He is far from "cured", but we continue to move forward.

Prior to devoting myself entirely to homoeopathic practice, I was a professional musician, having performed as a vocal soloist, orchestral/chamber music violist and pianist throughout New England. As a teenager, I taught violin and viola lessons to younger students and continued on with that practise until I began having children and took on more professional musical "gigs". I still play professionally upon occasion and play daily for the sheer joy of it. I was also involved in the allopathic side of things through my experiences in nursing, but have found homoeopathy to be of such deeper and more lasting benefit that practising anything else seemed quite inadequate.

I am the mother of three children - Betsy, Jamie, and Becca, (aged 20, 17, and 14) and the therapeutic foster mother of a two-year-old little girl with multiple medical and developmental issues. I have been married to my husband, John, for 21 years, and he has been so supportive of my studies! Currently I am nearing the finishing point in my homoeopathic studies with The School of Homoeopathy and am taking cases under clinical supervision with the school, readying myself for independent practice. I have learnt such a great deal about myself through this study, finding that the pursuit of homeopathic practice is, in and of itself, a journey into one's own soul. As we strive to understand another's pain and disease, we are brought face to face with our own imbalances and we are reminded "what needs to be cured?" I have been so grateful for the growth that has taken place within me as a result of my studies with the school, both emotionally and professionally.

I would like to say a few words about the wonderful homeopathy course I studied. It was the end of my search for a fulfilling job. Looking back over the time I spent at The School of Homeopathy, for me the best thing is an ongoing feeling of having done something very worthwhile. Even if I decided tomorrow to stop working as a professional homeopath, I still wouldn’t have any feelings of regret, of 'I should have done something else'. The whole four year course has been an incredibly special experience, on both a professional as well as a personal level. For everyone who is considering doing the same course, I have only two words – do it! Claus, Graduate

I came to homeopathy through my daughter's deteriorating health right after birth due to mis-diagnosis and subsequent mis-treatment by the paediatrician on duty at the hospital at the time. She was in neonatal care for four days and given antibiotics for an infection she didn't have. When we got home she had diarrhoea, thrush and weight loss and none of the regular doctors could effect any improvement. After unsuccessful visits to the regular doctors, we finally saw a homeopath and right away things improved. Thereafter I was 'hooked' to find out more and understand how homeopathy worked. One of the main reasons I started studying homeopathy is that I feel very strongly about having the ability to help my family and not have to depend on mainstream health care again.

I was born and raised in Hong Kong (German parentage) and have lived in Europe and South America, before settling in Toronto. I worked for 16 years in numerous varying jobs, before settling and having a daughter, having been famous amongst my friends for changing jobs the whole time, with mixed results. Most of the jobs were related to marketing/projects in the hotel business, and towards the end, working as a PA for Presidents of multi-national (usually German) companies in Hong Kong. None really satisfied me, in part because I'd lose interest or lose the respect for my superiors. Originally, I was always interested in both philosophy as well as anything to do with natural laws, but since I didn't want to stay in Germany (where I went to school most of the time but did not get on with the educational system), I decided to take up work in the hotel business to get me abroad.

Learning to be a homeopath finally combines all my interests. In particular, it gives me great satisfaction and a sense of not being helpless regarding the care of both my own and my family's health (and that of others in the future). The way public health in general is going, I believe there will be a great and urgent need for homeopaths and other holistic practitioners and I can only hope to qualify ASAP! The School of Homeopathy was recommended to me by a friend and homeopath while living in Italy. I checked the webpage and read the brochures and didn't really bother much about searching for others. The set-up of the school and Misha's reputation assured me. The flexibility that the school gives is a major relief, especially with the upheavals of living and moving to various different countries/continents. The tutor has always been nothing but supportive throughout and the school's international programme caters well for that.

What I do greatly miss is connecting with other homeopathically minded people on a more regular basis. I have found the yearly summer camp to be a great boost every time and the chat room sessions very useful in 'combating' the relative isolation you feel at times studying all on your own. I would mention that the personal touch and involvement of all the Norlands is a great feature and something I believe most students agree on - it is one of the great advantages of the school.

This is a mind-expanding course. I came as a bio-chemist and wanted to change career to work in homeopathy and yet I could continue to work in the Lab while studying. This School gives me a professional course and allows me to work too. Kath, Student

I have used Homeopathy for myself for many years now; and sometimes also for friends. In 2013, I had already approached the school, after seeing some videos from Misha Norland on my iPad application - I think it was called Homeopathic Materia Medica. At that time, I was the caretaker of a beautiful but very sick dog, and used some remedies to help him. Finally, and sadly, the dog died from allopathic drug abuse - it would certainly have been better to let it die without their intervention, but that made me decide to go ahead and study. I started looking for a good online course on Homeopathy, mainly with the view to gain confidence in the use of Homeopathy to help myself and those close to me, including the dogs.

From my little experience, I knew that I could do it. After checking a few courses on the web, I felt the School of Homeopathy, UK, offered what I was looking for. In fact, I already knew a year before. Firstly, I like the lectures - audio and videos are a good combination, and the transcripts are very helpful. I am the type of person that needs to learn orally rather than just reading books or essays; I can relate to audio and video in a very direct manner. Secondly, the unit assignments are challenging and I learn a lot trying to do them sincerely, trying to convey what I understand from my own experience rather than just what we hear or read from others - even Hahnemann. Finally, of course, our tutor then can provide advice and feedback, which is great.

When I decided to study homeopathy there was only one school I was interested in and that was The School of Homeopathy. The Tutor Study Day was brilliant! The day whizzed by but I felt I learnt so much. The tutor really brought The Repertory alive. This enormous book I'd be carting around with me, which had only baffled me, started to make sense. There were plenty of opportunities to ask questions and discuss any aspects of the material covered. Tea and biccies helped keep us going until lunchtime. The day started at 10am and finished at 4pm. I found this ideal as it gave me plenty of time to get ready in the morning and not arrive feeling frazzled! The length of the day was also ideal as, personally, I was pretty exhausted by then - but nicely so, if you know what I mean. Anyone doing the Correspondence Course should definitely try one of the Tutor Study Days, I'd really recommend them. I've only been to one, but I'll be going back for more!

I interviewed other courses. There is a focus on the journey at The School of Homeopathy. The right path for me. A holistic approach to healing and learning. Only been this certain once before when I met my husband! Ali, Student

I would highly recommend your course to anyone interested in Homeopathy. It is outstanding in every way. I was incredibly excited to receive the Booklist 3 books and wanted to write and thank you for your advice on first aid books – the two (from your school and the other) are so perfect. So really thank you and all the great work you guys are doing through your School of Health in England. You can know that's it so appreciated from this end and I'm sure by so many others. I thought the sessions were wonderful!! I felt I entered a new world during my weekend with The School of Homeopathy. Misha and the students were so inspiring. I felt it was so refreshing to be with such people. I also felt very present in the sessions. I felt there was a direct and clear communication between the group. It was honest and from the heart. I found it very useful to look at the video cases. I also found it fascinating how Misha could pick out the relevant aspects of the case with such ease. He opened up the cases for us in a very insightful way. I found it interesting to note my reactions to each case. One particular case made me and two other students shake with laughter till tears rolled down our faces. I don't know if it was the case or just a release of emotion. It was funny! Another made me feel heavy and anxious. In the third case, I felt sad and wanted to hug the child that was being interviewed. I liked the meditation at the beginning of each session. It sort of brought the group together and brought our awareness into focus.

I attended the School of Homeopathy International Summer School and it was great to meet students from other parts of the world! I used to love the science subjects at school, particularly physics and chemistry. I love the way homeopathy brings together so many elements for me! I better understood the rationale behind using the Periodic Table at the Seminar. This is another avenue that I want to delve into.  We also looked at the Kingdoms. The cases we watched, which required Lac Lupinum and Bald Eagle were fascinating!! I left The School of Homeopathy happily thinking that there is still so much to learn. I look forward to attending next year’s seminar.

It was the beginning of a journey for me that is, of course, still ongoing. It was not just Homeopathy that we were learning, it was healing itself and this has flowed into the very furthest reaches. Vanessa, Student

My studies through the School of Homeopathy were the richest and most satisfying educational experience I have had - and that's saying a lot, as I have been through university, allopathic medical school, psychiatric residency training, and Jungian analytic training. For me as a mature woman with a busy professional, family and personal life, the format of The School's curriculum worked very well. I worked intensively on my studies and completed the entire Practitioner's Diploma in less than three years (this while I was also completing my analytic training). I was thrilled with the close relationship I developed with my tutor as well as the relationships that evolved over the years with the teachers at the seminars and workshops, not to mention the camaraderie and relationships that developed amongst the students. In addition, since I work with Jung's ideas of the psyche and spirit in my depth psychotherapy and analytic practice, The School of Homeopathy's affinity for Jung's work fits very well with my professional practice.

Today, nearly ten [I think?] years after beginning my course of study with The School, the practice of homeopathy is seamlessly blended into my practice as a Jungian analyst.  Most of my analytic patients have remedies from me and I also work with other therapists' and analysts' patients for homeopathic consultations. In addition, because I am also a psychiatrist, I receive patients who have been diagnosed with "psychiatric illnesses" and work with them to taper off their allopathic medications while we are also working with homeopathy. This is deeply satisfying and I have found over these years that I often can offer considerable assistance to such individuals.  I have also begun to teach other psychotherapists and analysts about the utility of combining homeopathy and depth psychotherapy. I am deeply grateful to The School of Homeopathy for the strong and clear foundation it offered me in my ongoing study of homeopathy.

One major benefit of this correspondence course is that I can do my work in the comfort of my home, in hours and days that suit me and I can take as long as I feel I need to, to finish the course. There are no strict time lines. The tutors and admin staff are always there for you and return emails very quickly. You are treated as a very special member of The School of Homeopathy regardless of where you are in the world and there is a great sense of caring from all there. I would also like to add that I found the two adjunct courses of Pathology & Disease and Anatomy & Physiology are extremely interesting and are presented in a very beautiful way that is relevant to Homeopathy. You will love them. Thank you very much for all your support – it is hugely appreciated. I now have the best and highest qualifications I can get in my profession so I am very happy. I fully recommend that you take this step forward and enrol with The School of Homeopathy.

I am definitely glad I changed over to E-learning. Just in this lecture I learnt more about how to take a case and how to look at a patient than in the past 3 years of studying. This lecture brought the enthusiasm back in me as I watched it in amazement! I am sure most of the students who cannot attend regular classes will eventually change over to E-learning, it makes that much of a difference! I have looked into the program and watched some video lectures and only by going through 3 of them I have seen the light!! Suddenly it clicked only because I could watch it with my own eyes. It helps so much and I am glad I changed over and that you started this new program. Thank you.

As a long distant student, I started out a little apprehensive about what I would get from the course. I had never done a long distant course before and it was my first exposure to learning homeopathy. However, this course not only helped me become a homeopath but has also kindled an interest in learning about our place in the world. The deep understanding of remedies the School tries to inculcate, the emphasis on looking at them from several angles generates respect and belief in the interconnectedness of all things. The firm grounding in homeopathic philosophy has time and again helped me cure inveterate case and guided me to the right follow up action. I have been very lucky to have found such a wonderful School purely through a web search. For me the best part of this education has been the realization it has given me of what true healing is and how much we can all help each other if we really try.

I chose this course because it would enable me to pursue my passion for homeopathy without interfering with work. I was pleasantly surprised to discover useful yet challenging support from my allocated tutor, enjoyable tutorial days and a wide variety of assignments designed to stretch my imagination, lay the foundations for new skills as well as deepen my understanding. I have been in practice now for over three years and I can say without reservation that I feel very fortunate to have had the benefit of the excellent training of such a reputable school. It took five years for me to receive my Practitioner’s Diploma and I can honestly say I enjoyed every minute of my training. The quality of the instruction and the dedication of the staff under the experienced mentorship of Misha Norland were excellent. When I compare the thoroughness and depth of this distance learning program with that of other schools I am so grateful to have chosen this one! My tutor was always ready with encouragement and constructive criticism every step of the way. The clinical workshops and the seminars were enthralling, instructive and a lot of fun! The complete grounding I received from the School has held me in good stead to proceed with assurance, even with complex patients. When you are given a solid foundation you can keep on building with confidence!

My certificate was waiting for me when I arrived home yesterday evening. Thank you very much. I have completely loved this course.  The last four years have been amazing, wonderful, utterly joyful and thrilling.  I feel privileged to have been a part of it.  Thank you both for all you do and for making The School of Homeopathy such a joy to attend. Homeopathy made quite a splash in my life. Many homeopaths will tell you a similar story. I had an existing health drama which had tormented me for years. Having tried everything eventually I saw a homeopath and after just one treatment….bam! Gone. Brilliant, so I started to look around for some education in Homeopathy. I tried New Zealand. I tried Australia. I tried Greece. Then I talked to Misha from the School of Homeopathy and the decision became an easy one. I studied by distance for a year and then moved to England in 1993 for the express purpose of finishing my study of homeopathy. I wanted to study with the best. And it was just awesome. Studying with the School of Homeopathy was a delightful mix of art and science. Inspiration and rigor. Hard work and fun. Long walks and time with my head in the books. I have now been living, practicing and teaching homeopathy daily for the last 17 years. What I am forever grateful for was the grounding in fundamental philosophy which was emphasized so heavily by Misha.

It is this grounding and clarity that I received which has been the foundation of my practice. I run a busy practice in the middle of Sydney. It emphasized for me that homeopathy is not the mere dispensing of medicines and remedies but a philosophy based upon an understanding what is health and what is not. In an age of passionless evidence-based medicine it was the kernel of inspiration that has kept me chipping away at this discipline. I feel very fortunate to have been given that opportunity to train in England with The School of Homeopathy. It was never flat and never dry. What has always impressed me so much about the school is that it has always been at the forefront of innovative technological delivery, making it interesting, flexible and manageable for those attending or a great distance away without losing its basic ethos and central heart. Looking through the website simply confirms for me that it’s a great way to study homeopathy and if you are able to attend it’s the best place to study homeopathy.

What can I say about the School of Homeopathy?! It is hard to put into words..... The excellent, enthusiastic, inspiring and engaging teaching is just commonplace! The love and fascination for homeopathy shines through all the teaching. And beyond this what has touched me so much is the genuine caring for us as students, to turn us into dedicated and well-prepared homeopaths with good homeopathic knowledge, and also awareness of how we put ourselves across, thanks to your professional guidance, and then another layer of caring for homeopathy itself, by your direct and painstaking work to look after, promote and nourish the profession. This is no small thing, very, very special, and much appreciated. The only thing I am not so sure about is leaving! Amanda, Graduate

What I love about homeopathy is that you never stop learning; every case brings something different and exciting. I have an enormous fondness for The School of Homeopathy as it enabled me to pursue something I love. I would recommend the course highly on every level. The teaching is varied and brilliant and the student support is excellent. The School of Homeopathy is in such an exquisite setting in which to study. I felt ready to set up in practice and I felt confident about my homeopathic training, philosophy, remedies etc. I honestly enjoyed pretty much every minute at School.

It's a very exciting time for me and I can't wait until I receive my diploma. D.Hom sounds so good to me!!!!!  I'll miss the constant support and feedback from my dear tutor. She has been phenomenal! However, this is my next leg of the journey and, through the solid foundation that I've received from the school, I know that I'm ready for it. Meg, Student.

My four years at The School of Homeopathy were the most special learning I have ever received. When I decided to embark on my training as a homeopath I asked everyone where I should train and they said The School of Health was the only place for me to study and I would get the best education. They were right. I was exposed to the teachings of some of the best lecturers and homeopaths (many nationally and internationally acclaimed). I left fully equipped and confident to start a practice. My four years travelling to The School whizzed past and I loved it. I met life long new friends and have extremely fond memories of my time at the School. It was unique.

I began The School’s correspondence course in 1988 whilst I was still a research worker at the post-16 Education Centre, Institute of Education. I chose this course because it would enable me to pursue my passion for homeopathy without interfering with work and commitments to my young family. As an educationist at the time I had few, if no, expectations of a correspondence course so I was pleasantly surprised to discover useful yet challenging support from my allocated tutor, enjoyable tutorial days and a wide variety of assignments designed to stretch my imagination and lay the foundations for new skills as well as deepen my understanding. Since I qualified the School has continued to evolve and develop its curriculum, pioneering in its approaches to feedback and assessment, clinical supervision, personal tutorials and the latest developments within homeopathy ……. and at the centre of it all ………. always the patient  …….. Aphorism 1.

I have been very impressed at the standard of everything in this Course, from presentation to lectures, online site, level of expertise, and particularly the friendliness and general ‘humanity’ of all the team! Lesley, Student
