Exercise your body
There are many health benefits to regular exercise and you do not have to do much to see positive changes. It improves blood flow to the brain, helps to normalise insulin levels and reduce inflammation, supports the health of our blood vessels, relieves stress and more.
The current guidelines by the DoH recommend five 30 minute walks per week, anything more is a real added bonus. Pilates, Yoga, Tai Chi and Q are also great forms of exercise, blending mindfulness and movement. For those that want something more physical, then Interval training is a great option - research shows that interval training (workouts in which you alternate periods of high-intensity exercise with low-intensity recovery) increases fitness and burns more calories over a short period of time than steady-state cardio.
