Time to rest

Life can get pretty full on sometimes, and when it does, it’s important to get some R&R. Rest is necessary to restore vigor to the body because most diseases are either caused or made worse by stress.


The ways to rest are easy and common knowledge, but often we overwork without enough time to rest and we end up taking medication, such as paracetamol or sleeping tablets. Sometimes we take time off work or get help with taking care of our children, but instead of resting, we start cleaning or gardening. Resting means time to sit down, time to do things you enjoy, time for personal projects, time for holidays, and time to be alone. Good rest and relaxation will help improve stress levels, mood, concentration, memory and reduce the chances of becoming ill.

Rest is important for the health of mind and body.
